trying to hang in there

So my cognitive decline continues. I saw a new neuro. He ordered a DAT scan and a neuropsych evaluation which is in September. I can barely read or write. My short term memory is horrible. I don't feel like myself.

I'm so sorry to hear that...I'll try to dig out your email address from way back when and send you my phone number...I text or can talk if I'm awake...right now I'm on a high dose steroid taper, so I'm awake a lot

Welp, HR decided that I had to go back to work, or my ADA protection will end, and essentially I'll have quit. Since I'm carrying the insurance and my out of pocket is paid, I went back.

It's officially been 5 work days. The first, I was sent home, between HR, disability, and IT, I couldn't even read my email, Monday I left at lunch to get the migraine shots, and Tuesday I still had migraine/hangover do I called in.

Plus, my really understanding supervisor had told us he's given notice, so we're going to have someone who won't know my medical situation and all the issues I'm battling. I'm screwed!

I'm not a fan of migraine inducing spam either, especially being a vegetarian! I'm so sorry to hear about your HR and having to go back to work. This is awful. Hopefully your new supervisor will be understanding! Sending big hugs!

Thank you for the hugs. Of all the temporary supervisors I could have gotten, I got the best. He worked the closest with my old supe, and knows about my medical and migraine history. Sadly, going back to work has made the migraines worse, as they always do. I'm out today because I woke up so bad I had to ask hubby to fetch my injectable immitrex. I then caved and called in, I wasn't safe to drive, let alone work. They did get me flare screens, but my phone is such a horror of noise it's become a trigger, as well as reducing my efficiency. I put in so many tickets with I.T. they told my supervisors to tell me to stop. So now I just bitch to my supervisor every other day or so.

How did all your testing go? Are you managing any better our do they have anything for you to try? I've been keeping you in my prayers.

Big hugs for all us migraines!
